Davis Chatfield Set to Make PGA Tour Debut in Hawaii
Former Rhode Island Amateur champ Davis Chatfield is set to make his PGA Tour debut on Thursday at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Chatfield earned his 2026 PGA Tour card by finishing inside the top 20 on the Korn Ferry Tour points list in 2025.
He is one of 22 PGA Tour rookies playing in the event and one of three New Englanders – Keegan Bradley and fellow rookie John VanderLaan, being the other two.

Speaking of New Englanders, Chatfield is the first local since Brett Quigley to earn full status on the PGA Tour.
The former Notre Dame star gets his season started at 5:57 p.m. eastern time alongside Adrien Dumont de Chassart and Sudarshan Yellamaraju.
They go off the tenth tee on Thursday and the first tee on Friday.

Chatfield on PGA Tour – What to Know
As many golf fans probably know, the PGA Tour is all about the FedEx Cup Points List and Playoffs.
To retain a PGA Tour card for the 2027 season, Chatfield will need to finish inside the top 100 on the points list at the end of the season.
If he is not inside the top 100 or is close, there is a FedEx Cup Fall Series that he can play to help improve his status.
Let’s worry about that when/if we get to that point.
As far as his schedule goes, Chatfield is eligible for all “full field” events this season, but will have to play his way into the elevated events.
After this week, Chatfield heads to California for the American Express Tournament next week.
