Plans to Develop MA’s Heather Hill CC Move Forward
Plans to develop Massachusetts’ Heather Hill Country Club into a 55-and-over housing community are moving forward.
As first reported by The Sun Chronicle, the plan to develop the Plainville-based golf course into a 384-unit retirement community was approved in 2019.
However, it was delayed due to a “lack of town water and sewer.”
According to The Sun Chronicle, the town of Plainville recently broke ground on a $25 million water treatment plant and so the plan to develop the golf course came back to life.

Heather Hill opened for business in 1959 and is the sister course to Wentworth Hills.
It is unclear how much longer the course will remain open for play.
The Development
According to The Sun Chronicle, the plan is for the development to be called The Regency at Heather Hill and the applicant is Toll Brothers.
Pricing for the units would see some at $300K and others at $700-950K, the Chronicle Reports, with the units varying from single, duplex to triplex style.
There will also be a clubhouse with a pool, pickleball and bocce courts, walking trails and more.
