Rhode Island’s Billy Andrade will serve as a vice captain for Team USA at the 2025 World Champions Cup.

Andrade served as an assistant captain at the inaugural World Champions Cup in 2023, but ended up getting to play due to Captain Jim Furyk’s back injury.

In that tournament, Andrade made a short par putt that helped secure the cup for Team USA.

Now, Team USA will look to defend the cup starting December 4-7 at Feather Sound Country Club in Florida.

“Looking forward to early December and the World Champions Cup,” added Andrade.

The tournament will be broadcast on ESPN and ABC.

In this tournament, the Captain’s all play.

So Team USA captain Jim Furyk will be a playing captain with Andrade and Steve Flesch will serve as assistants.

“Our Captain, Jim Fury, has assembled an amazing team lead by newcomers Stewart Cink, Cape Cod’s Jason Caron and Steve Flesch. Rounding out the team are World Champions Cup winners from 2023, Steve Stricker, Jerry Kelly and Justin Leonard,” said Andrade.

The International team will be led by Mike Weir and Team Europe will be led by Darren Clarke.
