Rhode Island Girls Junior Am runner up Hanley Correia has committed to Stone Hill for golf, she announced on Tuesday. 

“I am extremely excited and blessed to announce my commitment to play Division I golf at Stonehill College. I first want to thank God for this opportunity. Thank you to my friends, coaches, and especially my family for all of their sacrifice and help along the way. Thank you Coach Crovetti for believing in me and giving me this opportunity,” wrote Correia on social media. 

Correia plays out of Ledgemont and made it all the way to the RI Junior Am final before falling to Lily Dessel. 

Shortly after that run, Correia finished solo-seventh at the New England Junior Am in Massachusetts. 

Earlier in the year, she finishes solo sixth at the Challenge Cup Championship.
