Tiger Woods has 7th Back Surgery
Tiger Woods announced on Saturday night that he has gone under the knife once again.
According to a statement, Woods underwent LF-L5 disc replacement surgery on his lumbar spine on Friday morning in New York.
This is the seventh back surgery of his career, and the second in just over a year.
“After experiencing pain and lack of mobility in my back, I consulted with Doctor and Surgeons to have tests taken. The scans determined that I had a collapsed disk in L4/5, disc fragments and a compromised spinal canal. I opted to have my disc replaced yesterday, and I already know I made a good decision for my health and my back,” wrote Woods in a statement.
No timetable has been listed for his return to golf.
Woods hasn’t made a PGA Tour start since the 2023 Open Championship at Royal Troon.
His last golfing appearance in general was the 2024 PNC Championship, where he rode a cart alongside Charlie.
