Topgolf CEO Artie Starrs has resigned from his position to take over as President and CEO of Harley Davidson, Topgolf Callaway Brands announced.

“It’s a huge privilege to be joining Harley-Davidson as President and CEO, and I am grateful for the opportunity to help steward this incredible company. I have long admired the unique position Harley-Davidson has in the hearts of its riders and fans; there is no brand that brings the same level of community and rebellious spirit as Harley-Davidson. I’m excited by the tremendous potential to both drive growth and further enhance the H-D experience for all, and I look forward to working with the dedicated Harley-Davidson employees and dealer network as we start this journey together,” said Starrs in a Harley Davidson press release.

Starrs is expected to remain with the company through September 2025, before joining Harley Davidson in early October.

“We thank Artie for his leadership and many contributions to Topgolf and wish him well in his new endeavor. Artie’s departure does not affect our strategic direction or commitment to separating Topgolf, and we are still pursuing a spin-off or sale of Topgolf. Given this development, it is likely that a spin-off transaction would not occur until 2026, after a new CEO is in place,” said Chip Brewer, President and CEO of Topgolf Callaway Brands.

Topgolf is conducting an executive search for his replacement.
