Jonathan Cooper Wins Valley Club Championship
Jonathan Cooper captured the Valley Club Championship on Sunday at the club.
Cooper beat Dante Nagarian 4&2 to take the title in a 34 hole final.
This is Cooper’s second straight Club Championship title after winning the Alpine Club Championship in 2024.
Story of the Match
Cooper was five-up through the first 14 holes, before Nagarian got it back to within two heading into the second 18.
On the second 18, both players carded a pair of 34s and Cooper remained two-up.
Cooper built his lead on the final nine and closed it out with a birdie on 16.
Over the course of 34 holes, the two combined for 17 birdies.
