Harry Dessel Earns Alternate Spot at U.S. Amateur Final Qualifying
Harry Dessel earned the second alternate spot at U.S. Amateur Final Qualifying on Monday at Wellesley Country Club in Massachusetts.
Dessel finished the round with a one-over 71, missing out on a playoff by one shot.
Overall, four players advanced to the U.S. Am with Matt Parziale taking medalist honors at five-under par.

There was a three-for-two playoff at even par between Jake Bauer, Philip Minnehan and Kellen Dean, with Bauer and Minnehan advancing.
CJ Winchenbaugh earned the other spot in the tournament with a two-under par round.
Dessel Continues Strong Play
Monday’s round is a continuation of strong play from the former Moses Brown star.
Just a little over a week ago, Dessel earned a top five finish at the New England Amateur over in Vermont.
He held the solo lead for a good portion of the tournament.
On Monday, Dessel was two-over after nine with four bogeys against two birdies.
At the turn, Dessel birdied the tenth and 12th holes to get back to even par, before a bogey on the par-5 17th hole set him back one.
