RI Am Champ Calef, Other Locals Take on the Mass Amateur
Rhode Island Amateur Champ Mike Calef is one of a handful of locals that are teeing up in the Mass Amateur this week at Great Horse.
Calef won back-to-back Mass Amateur titles in 2012 and 2013 and just a few weeks ago captures his first RI Amateur title at Rhode Island Country Club.
Other locals in the field include, URI stars Tyler Bruneau and Aidan O’Donovan, La Salle star Drew MacLeod and Bryant star Tyler Dupuis.
Mass Am Format
Like the RI Am, the Mass Am begins with 36 holes of stroke play on Monday and Tuesday, followed by match play the rest of the week.
The 36 hole championship match will be played on Friday.
