Jimmy Hervol Wins Providence Open, URI’s O’Donovan Leads Locals
Florida’s Jimmy Hervol won the Providence Open on Thursday at Triggs Memorial Golf Course in Providence.
Hervol finished with a two day score of 14-under par to beat Fletcher Babcock by two shots.
He carded rounds of 66 and 64 over the two days.

The local contingent was led by West Warwick’s Jeremy Berbert and URI star Aidan O’Donovan, both of whom finished at six-under for the tournament.
O’Donovan tied for low amateur with Josiah Hakala.
He posted rounds of 67 and 71 for the tournament.
The girls division was won by Johnston High School star Elizabeth Kue at nine over par.
Her sister Kamryn Kue finished fourth and Ava Andoscia finished fifth.
There were just five girls who played.
