Locals in Hunt After Round 1 of Providence Open
Several locals are in the hunt after round one of the Providence Open at Triggs on Wednesday.
Former Rhode Island Amateur champ Kevin Blaser and Brad Adamonis are in a tie for 3rd place last six-under par.
Both carding rounds of 66 on Wednesday.

Not far behind is URI star Aidan O’Donovan at five-under par and in a tie for seventh, while Mike Caparco is in a tie for 16th at three-under.
Connecticut’s Fletcher Babcock leads the tournament at eight-under with Sean Mullan in at seven-under and in solo second.
The second and final round of the Providence Open gets underway on Thursday morning.
Other Notables
Joey Iaciofano opened with a one-under par 71 to sit in a tie for 31st with Triggs pro Bob Tramonti.
Former La Salle stars Joe Earley is even par and in a tie for 42nd, while Max Jackson is one-over and in a tie for 52nd, with URI stars Tyler Bruneau and Bennett Masterson.
Four-time High School State Champion Will Dickson is also in that tie for 52nd.
