Drew MacLeod Finishes 36th at AJGA’s Lanto Junior Championship
La Salle star Drew MacLeod finished in a tie for 36th at the AJGA’s Lanto Junior Championship this week at Blacksburg Country Club in Virginia.
The reigning High School Boys State Champ carded rounds of 73, 77 and a final round 71 to finish five-over for the tournament.
He tied with two other players.
The tournament was won by Virginia’s Jake Albert at 21-under par.
MacLeod Finishes Strong
MacLeod closed the tournament strong with a one-under par 71.
He opened the final round with birdies on three of the first five holes to go to three-under on the day.
MacLeod gave two shots back with bogeys on the sixth and seventh holes, before closing the front nine with a birdie on the ninth.
On the back side, MacLeod made back-to-back bogeys on the 11th and 12th holes before responding with birdies on 14 and 16.
He closed with a bogey on 18 to post 71.
