The La Salle Rams won their fourth straight State Championship on Wednesday afternoon at Cranston Country Club.
The Rams posted a two-day team score of 613 to beat Moses Brown and East Greenwich by 14 and 15 shots respectively.
“It’s great, the kids worked really hard, bonded all year. We really had to grind for this one. All the teams played great, Moses Brown, Prout, East Greenwich, Barrington, it was a dog fight all the way through,” said La Salle Head Coach Steve White.

The Rams are just the second team in Rhode Island High School golf history to four-peat, after Barrington did it twice in the early 2000s.
La Salle came into the final round with a three shot lead over Prout and Moses Brown, but slowly pulled away from the field.
“It feels really good. Obviously, we were favored coming into this week but Prout and Moses Brown put up great rounds in round one and we knew we actually had to play some good golf today, we fought well and we are really happy,” said La Salle star Drew MacLeod, who captured the Boys Individual Title this year.
MacLeod was two over for the final round, Sam Perry and Brent Rollo were six over and Olivia Williams finished at 12 over for the day.
Williams closes out her high school career having won a State Championship in each of her four years.
“I’m really happy our team came through and won day. It feels really good to be part of a team that can win four years in a row,” Williams told GolfNewsRI after the round.
Williams is off to Merrimack next fall where she will be a part of their women’s golf program
No team in Rhode Island High School Golf history has ever won five straight State Titles.
