Francoeur Finishes 3rd at Brazil Open
Former URI star Chris Francoeur finished in solo third at the Brazil Open this week on PGA Tour Americas.
Francoeur began the final round with a one shot lead, but a one-over 72 dropped him two spots.
For the tournament, the former Rhody Ram carded a pair of 65s, a third round 66 and a final round 72 to earn his second career top ten finish.

He finished 16-under for the week.
The tournament was won by Maxwell Moldovan at 18-under par, beating George Markham by one shot.
Francoeur’s Final Round
Starting the day with a one shot lead, Francoeur got off to a good start with a birdie on the first hole.
However, back-to-back bogeys on the third and fourth holes and another bogey on the eighth hole dropped him out of the lead just before the turn.
On the back side, Francoeur parred holes 10-17 before closing the tournament with a birdie on 18 which earned him a solo third place finish.
