Chatfield Sits T44 Heading into Weekend at Club Car Championship

4. Chatfield on PGA Tour - Former Rhode Island Amateur champion Davis Chatfield begins his 2026 PGA Tour run in Hawaii on January 15 at the Sony Open. Chatfield earned a PGA Tour card by finishing inside the top 20 on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2025. The Wannamoisett member becomes the first local to earn full status on the Tour since Brett Quigley. An exciting time for RI golf, for sure.

Chatfield’s 2nd Round

Needing a good day to make the cut, Chatfield started his second round on the back side.

The day didn’t get off to a promising start as he opened with a bogey on the tenth hole to go to one-over for the day.

However, he bounced back with birdies on the 14th and 18th holes to turn at one-under par for the day.

Turning to the front side, Chatfield bogeyed the par-3 second hole after taking a penalty stroke.

After two straight pars, Chatfield drove the green on the par-4 fifth hole and knocked in the putt for an eagle to move to two-under for the day.

He would add a birdie on the sixth hole to get to three-under and inside the cut line.
