Chatfield Cards 73 in Round 3 at Club Car Championship, Sits in 61st
Davis Chatfield carded a one-over 73 to slide 18 spots down the leaderboard in the third round of the Club Car Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour on Saturday.
The 73 came after Chatfield closed round two with three back nine birdies to make the cut.
The former Rhode Island Amateur champ will look to climb the leaderboard on Sunday and hope to pick up some points in the Korn Ferry Tour rankings.
After Sunday, he has three tournaments left on his exemption before the KFT reshuffle.
David Skinns leads the tournament at 13-under par.
Chatfield’s Round
Starting on the back side, Chatfield made a bogey on the 11th hole to go to one-over for the day.
He bounced back with a birdie on the 13th hole, but then made double on the par-3 17th hole to turn at two-over 38.
Turning to the front side , Chatfield bogeyed the second hole, but got it right back with a birdie on the third hole to remain at two-over for the round.
Following a string of pars, Chatfield birdied the ninth hole to post a 73.
He is two-under for the tournament.
