The Amateur Golf Tour of New England (AGTNE) is set to begin their 35th season at the beginning of April.
The Amateur Golf Tour of New England was founded in 1992 as the Boston Amateur Golf Society, Rhode Island Division before changing over to the AGTNE in 2019.
“We always have something to play for. Tournament golf is more than just a game; it’s a test of integrity, sportsmanship, honesty, perseverance, adaptability, and humility. Measuring where your game stands in a competitive environment is incredibly rewarding and fun. We carefully select courses that offer an optimal combination of quality and value,” said Director Paul Dumont.
The AGTNE will play approximately 60 events across the region, including four major championships.
The tournaments will be played at public and private courses in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and eastern Connecticut.
Some of the Rhode Island courses include Rhode Island CC, Agawam Hunt, Meadow Brook, Pawtucket CC and more.
The RI major will be played at Crystal Lake.
“We make it easy to sign up for tournaments and choose your optional side games. You’ll receive results on the same day via the Golf Genius mobile app and web portal, which provides live scoring, online event registration and payments, as well as individual player statistics,” Dumont added.
GolfNewsRI will publish the full Rhode Island event schedule in the coming days.
