The Puerto Rico Open begins on March 6 and runs through the March 9.

It is the alternate event of the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Jones’ Round

Starting on the back side, Jones saved par on ten, then dropped back-to-back-to-back birdies on 11, 12 and 13 to move to three-under.

He would add another birdie on 15 against no bogeys to turn at four-under par for the day.

Turning to the front side, Jones once again made back-to-back-to-back birdies on one, two and three to move to seven-under for the round.

Things were made a little interesting on six when Jones made a triple-bogey eight on the par-5 to bring him back down to four-under.

However, he bounced back with birdies at seven and eight to finish at six-under and make the cut on the number.
