Vallante Leads RI Pros at PGA Quarter Century Championship
Harbor Lights Head Pro Al Vallante lead a group of three Rhode Island golf pros this week at the PGA Quarter Century Championship down in Florida.
Playing in the 65+ division, Vallante finished 15-over for the tournament and in a tie for 66th overall.
He posted a first round score of 83, but bounced back with a 76 in the second round to climb 32 spots up the leaderboard.
There were well over 100 pros from all over the country in the division.
In the 64 and under division, Glocester’s Shane Drury finished at 16-over for the tournament and in a tie for 86th.
Drury fired rounds of 81 and 77 over the two days.
North Kingstown’s John Rainone finished the tournament in 102nd.
