Iaciofano Leads Oxbridge Academy to Florida HS Golf State Title
Rhode Island’s Joey Iaciofano finished in a tie for second place to lead Oxbridge Academy to a Florida High School Golf State Championship on Wednesday at Mission Resort.
Oxbridge posted a team score of 587 (2 rounds) to beat defending champion Benjamin School by nine shots.
They trailed Circle Christian by two shots entering the final round.
Iaciofano posted a two round score of 141 to tie for second with Luke Balaskiewicz.
He fired a 69 in the first round and played the second round at even par 72.
Iaciofano was just two shots back of winner Luke Gossett.
Also playing for Oxbridge, RI’s AJ Colonna finished in a tie for 16 with a two round score of 148.
Colonna carded a 72 in the first round and a 76 in the final round.
Benjamin School’s Charlie Woods finished in a tie for 29th with a two round score of 151.
