Bobby Leopold Teeing it up at Devil’s Elbow Invitational
Five-time Rhode Island Amateur champion Bobby Leopold is down in Puntacana this week for the Devil’s Elbow Invitational.
The tournament is made up of elite mid-ams from all over the world and is played at Corales Golf Course.
“It has become a great event for both the players and the wives. Erick Morales and Jeronimo Esteve have gone a great Jobe hosting it at an awesome course and making it fun for everyone who comes,” Leopold told GolfNewsRI.
The winner of the tournament will get a spot in the PGA Tour’s Corales Puntacana Championship in 2025.
“Obviously, the PGA Tour exemption is a special thing to have at a mid-am event. It gives you extra incentive to play your best,” said Leopold.
The tournament got underway on Thursday and Leopold is on the course now.
