URI Wins for 4th Time in Last 5 Tournaments
The University of Rhode Island Golf team closed the fall season with a win at the Metropolitan Intercollegiate on Tuesday in New Jersey.
This is Rhode Island’s fourth victory in their last five tournaments.
The Rams finished with a team score of 579 to win the tournament with relative ease.

Leading Rhody
The Rams were led by Aidan O’Donovan who finished solo second, just one shot behind Fordham’s Jake Mrva, who won the event.
O’Donovan posted rounds of 67 and a final round 76.
Playing as an individual, Grad transfer Sean Magarian finished in a tie for third, just three shots behind O’Donovan.
Magarian posted rounds of 71 and 75 in the tournament.
Freshman Luke Stennett and sophomore Tony Liu finished in a tie for fifth.
Stennett carded rounds of 70 and 77, while Liu posted rounds of 76 and 71.
Josiah Tong finished ninth, Tyler Bruneau 16th and Sebastian Carlsson finished 35th while playing as an individual.
