Dan Rapaport Finds New Home in Golf Media
Just weeks after leaving Barstool Sports, golf writer Dan Rapaport has found a new home in golf media.
Rapaport announced on Monday that he will be joining Chad Mumm’s Pro Shop Holdings as Editor-at-Large for the new Skratch.
Chad Mumm is the producer of the Netflix documentary “Full Swing,” that Rapaport is prominently featured in.
“Today I’m super excited to start the next chapter of my life-long love affair with golf. I’ve joined Pro Shop Holdings as Editor-at-Large for the new Skratch. It’s a very fancy title…basically I’ll be doing a lot of what I’ve been doing as far as daily coverage of the professional game,” Rapaport wrote on social media.
Rapaport says he will be producing YouTube content, podcasts, writing and much more.
“I feel like I’m going back to my journalism roots a bit, only with way more tools in my toolkit. Pro Shop’s relationship with the PGA Tour will allow me to shoot content on-site, something I’ve never been allowed to do before. I’ll also have access to highlights and the content archive—so instead of just describing a shot in one of my videos, I’ll be able to show it to you guys,” Rapaport adds.
According to Sports Business Journal, the PGA Tour has a minority stake in Pro Shop Holdings.
