Dickson on Cut Line After Round 1 of Q-School Pre Qualifying
Rhode Island’s Will Dickson made three birdies on the front nine and then a double bogey and bogey on the back nine to finish at even par (71) in round one of Q-School Pre Qualifying in North Carolina.
With two rounds to go, Dickson sits right on the cut line of advancing to Stage 1 of Q-School.
The top 30 players and ties advance and as of Wednesday evening, even par is the cut.
Dickson’s Round
Playing on a course that he knows well, Dickson opened the first round with a birdie on the first hole.
He made a string of pars over the next four holes, before dropping his second birdie of the round on the sixth hole, and another on the eighth.
Dickson turned at three-under par and well inside the cut line.
On the back side, Dickson stayed steady with four straight pars before disaster struck on the 14th hole.
Dickson made a double-bogey 7 on the par-5 to fall back to one-under for the day.
He made another bogey on the 17th hole to finish at even par.
