The first of four qualifiers for the Rhode Island Mid-Amateur was held on Wednesday at Lincoln Country Club.
Overall, nine players advanced to the Mid-Am which is set to be held at Misquamicut near the end of October.
Triggs’ Chris Congdon took medalist honors with a one-over 61, while Matt Corio followed closely behind with a two-over 72.
Other players who have advanced include: Will Siwik, Matt Spoehr, Fred Mather, Chris Gray, Chris O’Rourke, Erik Manchester and Callahan Brown.
The cut was seven-over par.
The second qualifier will be held at West Warwick Country Club on Tuesday, September 24.
The Rhode Island Mid-Am is set for October 22-23.
