Montaup’s Savoie Takes Medalist Honors in Final RI Mid-AM Qualifier
Montaup’s Dana Savoie carded an even par 70 at Lincoln Country Club to take medalist honors in the final Rhode Island Mid-Am qualifier on Wednesday.
Another Montaup member, Dave Carvara, took medalist honors in the first Mid-Am qualifier last week at Glocester Country Club.
Overall, 24 players advanced to the Mid-Am with the cut coming at 12-over par.
The cut was 11-over for a good portion of the day, but moved in the final hour or so of play.
The 2023 Rhode Island Mid-Amateur will be held September 26-27 at Quinnatissett Country Club.
