Megan Khang Wouldn’t Change Week “For Anything”
Massachusetts native Megan Khang wrapped up her homecoming week at TPC Boston and the FM Global Championship on Sunday afternoon.
Khang finished in a tie for 35th overall with rounds of 70, 71, 71 and 73.
“Despite having a one-over day today, I felt like I played relatively well. Clearly not at the top, but being in front of a home crowd, happy to make the weekend. Would’ve loved to perform a little better, but overall just kind of happy how I handled this week,” said Khang after the round on Sunday.

But despite not getting the finish she wanted, she was happy with the week.
“This week definitely was a lot, but I wouldn’t change it for anything,” Khang added.
Khang is an FM Global ambassador and had numerous “hosting” duties throughout the week, other than just being a golfer.
“I would like to think I did a pretty good job. I’m sure there are stuff I can improve on. For the most part, I knew it was very important for FM to have their ambassador be pretty interactive this week. So whenever I had to do, I was willing to do and I was more than happy to just because I wanted FM to have a great experience as well, “ added Khang.
Khang said one of the highlights of the week came on Saturday when she was paired with LPGA Tour legend Lexi Thompson.
“Saturday was pretty special to me, especially being two ball, just Lexi and I. Like I said yesterday, it was pretty funny. I joked with Lexi walking off the first tee that might have been the first time I heard roars louder for myself than her,” Khang joked.
Thompson finished the tournament in a tie for 15th and is set to retire after the season.
As GolfNewsRI reported, the LPGA Tour will be returning to TPC Boston next year for the FM Championship.
“FM has done so much for the girls this week. I feel like they’re not done yet, so that makes me more proud to wear them,” noted Khang.
Khang told reporters that she plans to go out with friends to the North End in Boston on Sunday night, and then go home.
She recently bought a house in Medford.
The Tournament
While Khang wasn’t in contention on the final day, the tournament provided epic theatre for those in the crowd and watching on television.
Haeran Ryu beat Jin Young Ko in a playoff to capture the title.
Both players finished at 15-under par in regulation.
Allison Corpuz was the highest finishing American, she finished in a tie for fourth.
