South Shore Village Golf Club Now Open to Public
South Shore Village Golf Club is now open to the public.
Earlier this week, the Town of South Kingstown granted the club approval to change from a private golf course, open to just residents of the village, to a public access course.
“We’re excited that golfers in Rhode Island and outside the state will experience this enjoyable and challenging layout,” said South Shore General Manager Doug Long.

With this change, South Shore Village Golf Course, a non-profit course, can donate excess profits to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the South County Hospital.
To make a tee time, call 401-777-0107 or visit Chronogolf.com and search South Shore Village Golf Club.

About South Shore Village Golf Course
South Shore Village is the first new golf course to open in Rhode Island in over a decade.
Opened last October, the 9-hole course was built by Momentum Golf and the architect is Ron Cutlip.
The nine-hole layout has a unique characteristic not found on any other course in New England.
It can be played as a par-35 with five sets of tees ranging from 3,046 yards to 2,081 yards. In addition, every one of the nine holes has a par-3 tee.
The par-27 course plays to 1,265 yards.
