READ: The Metacomet Lawsuit Decision
Below is the RI Superior Court’s decision regarding the payout to the five “owners” of Metacomet Golf Club following it’s sale.
The decision was announced on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 and is available to the public on the RI Superior Court website.
The 42 pages below offer a fascinating look into the final months, weeks and days of Metacomet, and while it surely doesn’t tell the entire story, it offers a glimpse into what happened and how.
It’s also interesting to read the judge’s opinion on the testimony from Karl Augenstein, Brad Faxon, Stephen Napoli, Tim Fay and Brendan Vandeventer.
So sad.
If they could have hung on for just one more year in 2020 the Covid might have saved Metacomet.
