URI Golf Unveils 2024-25 Schedule
The University of Rhode Island golf team has announced their schedule for the 2024-25 season.
The Rams schedule consists of nine events, three of which that are new and include a stop at Torrey Pines in California.
The Schedule
URI will open the fall season on September 16-17 at the NC State Wolfpack Intercollegiate at Jack Nicklaus’ The Club at 12 Oaks in North Carolina.
The Rams will then join Bryant at the Ryan Lee Memorial Collegiate in Connecticut on September 21-22, before heading back to. GreatHorse for the UConn Invitational on September 29-October 1.
URI finished third at the UConn Invitational in 2022.
Rhody then goes to the Sacred Heart Fall Classic on October 13-15, before wrapping up the fall season at the Nassau Intercollegiate on October 21- 22.
URI will begin the spring season out west at the University of California Sand Diego Invitational at Torrey Pines.
Torrey Pines is home to the 2008 and 2021 U.S. Open Championships, as well as, the PGA Tour’s Farmers Insurance Open.
That tournament will go from March 23-25.
After that, Rhody comes back east to play in the Dragon Match Play on April 7-8.
The Rams reached the championship match of this tournament last year.
URI will then go to The Rutherford Intercollegiate at Penn State’s Blue Course on April 12-13, before wrapping up the year at the Atlantic 10 Championship in Florida from April 22-24.
