RI Boys Finish 5th at New England Junior Amateur
The Rhode Island boys finished fifth at the New England Junior Amateur on Tuesday at GreatHorse in Massachusetts.
Rhode Island finished ahead of only Vermont in the team portion of the tournament.
The local squad was 53-over par for the 36-hole event.
Drew MacLeod led Rhode Island at 6-over par and in solo 18th, while Max Jackson was one shot back and in a tie for 19th.
Brayden Dickinson and Rocco Capalbo finished 24 and 25th respectively, while Sam Fuentes and Ian Dunham took 37th and 39th.
Massachusetts won the tournament at two-under par, edging out Connecticut by one shot.
The Rhode Island boys finished fourth last year and have not won the tournament since 2015.
