Jon Pannone Qualifies for U.S. Mid-Amateur
Rhode Island’s Jon Pannone qualified for the U.S. Mid-Amateur on Tuesday at Agawam Hunt.
Pannone finished the qualifier at two-under for the tournament to tie Cam Moniz for medalist honors.
The top three players advance to the U.S. Mid-Am.

There is currently a playoff for the final spot and alternate spots.
The 2024 U.S. Mid-Am is set for Kinloch Golf Club in Virginia, September 21-26.
Pannone’s Round
The former pro bogeyed the second hole to start the round at one-over.
Then came a birdie barrage.
Pannone birdied the third, fourth, seventh and ninth holes to make the turn at three under.
He then birdie the tenth hole to move to four-under on the round and take the outright lead.
After saving pa on the next four holes, Pannone made back-to-back bogeys to make things a little interesting down the stretch.
He parred out to get in the clubhouse at two-under.
