Larry Lafauci Jr. Wins RI Stroke Play Championship in Playoff
Kirkbrae’s Larry Lafauci Jr. beat Mike Caparco on the first playoff hole to win the 2024 Rhode Island Stroke Play Championship on Tuesday afternoon at Ledgemont Country Club.
This is Lafauci’s fourth state wide win of his career with two Rhode Island Mid-Am titles already under his belt and a RI Four-Ball championship with Tom McCormick.
Lafauci started the final round of the tournament with a one shot lead over John Baldwin.

The two-time Mid-Am champ fired a final round 74 to drop him back to two-over for the tournament.
Caparco would finish regulation at that same number to force a playoff.
Lafauci came on GolfNewsRI’s Podcast earlier this year. Listen HERE
