Will Dickson Fires Final Round 65 to Finish 3rd at Providence Open
Rhode Island’s Will Dickson fired a final round 65 (7-under) on Friday at Triggs Memorial Golf Course to finish in a tie for third at the Providence Open.
Dickson finished the tournament at eight under for the tournament, one shot out of a playoff.
“I felt like I left a lot of shots out there yesterday (Thursday), shooting only one-under. I honestly think I hit the ball better yesterday than I did today. I just didn’t make anything yesterday. Today I just gave myself a bunch of opportunities, made a few putts, hit some good shots when I had to, got up and down when I had to keep the momentum going,” Dickson told GolfNewsRI after the round.

This was Dickson’s second appearance in the Providence Open after playing for the first time last year.
Last year’s tournament was Dickson’s first competitive rounds in the state since high school.
“Triggs has been awesome. They have done some really cool stuff. Putting some money into the place which is so cool to see. I grew up here, I’ve been playing here since I was seven/eight years old in the World Series of Golf. To come back here, play in a pro event, stay in my own home, see my parents, it has been awesome,” added Dickson.

Dickson was the highest finishing Rhode Islander in the field, followed by Brad Adamonis and URI’s Brandon Gillis.
Playoff at the Prov Open
Massachusett’s Jack Boulger and New York’s Ben Pirro finished regulation at nine-under par, one shot better than Dickson.
That forced a playoff.
Boulger ended up winning the tournament in the playoff.
Women’s Division
In the women’s division, Illinois commit Kylie Eaton took home the trophy with a two round score of 2-over par.
Eaton posted rounds of 75 and 71 to beat her sister, Adriana, by six shots.
There were a total of six women competing for the title.
