Kylie Eaton Wins RI Women’s Stroke Play Championship

Former Moses Brown star, and Illinois commit, Kylie Eaton won the Rhode Island Women’s Stroke Play Championship on Tuesday at Pawtucket Country Club.

Eaton fired an even par 73 to beat Elizabeth Kue by five shots.

This is Eaton’s second win in the last few days after taking home the Women’s Eastern Golf Assoc. Amateur title in Pennsylvania late last week. 

Barrington’s Lily Dessel took third, while Bryant Women’s Golf coach Angel MacLeod and daughter Morgan MacLeod finished in tie for fourth at eight over par.

Eaton’s Round 

Eaton opened with a birdie on the second hole before giving it back with a bogey on the par-3 fifth hole. 

The Illinois commit birdied the eighth hole to turn at one-under par. 

On the back side, Eaton bogeyed the 12th hole to fall back to even par. 

She would par out the rest of the way to win the tournament.
