Dynasty: La Salle Three-Peats as State Champions
The La Salle Rams clinched their third straight High School Golf State Championship on Wednesday afternoon at Cranston Country Club.
The Rams finished at 30-over par for the tournament to beat Prout by seven shot.
“I’m really happy we won as a team. This season I feel like we were closer than ever, great team, good team chemistry and I’m really happy that we finished strong for Max (Jackson) and Charlie (Melvin),” said Olivia Williams after the round.

The Rams are the first team to three-peat since Will Dickson’s Moses Brown Quakers did it from 2014-16.
“That was the goal coming into the week, get the three-peat.We didn’t play good on Tuesday, were only up by two so coming into today, I knew we had to put a good round together,” said senior Max Jackson.
La Salle led Barrington by two shots heading into the final round, but quickly widened the lead within the first few holes.

On the back of Rocco Capalbo, Prout made a late charge at the Rams on the back nine, but ran out of holes.
In the second round, the Rams got a round of 69 from Jackson, 72 from Drew MacLeod, 77 from Connor Paradise and a 78 from Olivia Williams.
