La Salle Takes 2 Shot Lead Into Final Round of HS State Championship
Two time defending champion La Salle Academy will take a two shot lead into Wednesday’s final round of the High School Golf State Championship at Cranston Country Club.
The Rams posted a team score of 302 on Tuesday to lead Barrington by two shots with 18 holes to go.
La Salle was led by freshman Drew MacLeod, who carded a team low 72 and is tied for the boys individual lead.

The Rams also got a pair of 76s from Olivia Williams and Sam Perry, and a 78 from Max Jackson.
Barrington was led by Adam Gorman with a 74, Lilly Dessel with a 78 and Claire McTaggart with a 75.
The other teams to make the cut include East Greenwich, Hendricken, Cranston West, Moses Brown and Prout.

Boys Championship
A battle of the freshman? Maybe.
MacLeod and Prout freshman Rocco Capalbo are tied for the lead of the Boys Individual Championship at one-over par.
They will be paired together on Wednesday in what could be a must-watch group.
However, Pilgrim’s Rich Cavanagh and Chariho’s Ian Dunham are just one shot back and Barrington’s Adam Gorman and Andrew Lavoie are two shots back.
Girls Championship
Moses Brown’s Adriana Eaton leads the Girls Individual Championship after round one.
Eaton is the defending champion after winning the title as a freshman last season.
Eaton is one-over for the tournament and holds a three shot lead over McTaggart and a four-shot lead over Olivia Williams.
Lily Dessel is six back.
