U.S. Senior Open Qualifier at Franklin CC – What to Know

The local qualifier for the U.S. Senior Open takes place on Tuesday at Franklin Country Club in Massachusetts.

This is the only New England qualifier for the Senior Open, which is set to be held at Newport Country Club.

Another thing that is important to note is that this is it.

Unlike in the regular U.S. Open where there is a local qualifier and then a final qualifier, there is no such thing for the U.S. Senior Open.

The top three finishers at Franklin CC will be going to Newport.

About Franklin CC

According to tournament information, Franklin Country Club will play as a par-71 and extend out to 6,500 yards.

Franklin has three par-5s all playing over 500 yards.

Two of those par-5s are on the back nine, so a good opportunity to make a late charge.
