GolfNewsRI to Launch TV Show
GolfNewsRI is excited to announce the launch of a TV show in partnership with the WPRI Media Group.
GolfNewsRI TV will feature interviews with top players, coverage of the biggest tournaments, highlights and more.
“This is a really exciting time for GolfNewsRI as we look forward to taking our brand to the next level. Having a TV show with the WPRI Media Group will help us enhance our coverage of the game we all love” said GolfNewsRI CEO Joe Calabro.

GolfNewsRI TV will make its debut on Sunday, May 19 on the CW Network at 10:30 p.m.

We are happy to partner with Joe Calabro and his team from GolfNewsRI to bring an information rich golf show to broadcast TV,” said Joe Lembo, Senior Account/Special Projects Coordinator at WPRI.

History of GolfNewsRI
Launched in April of 2020 by co founders Joe Calabro and Rich Cappalli, GolfNewsRI is now entering its fifth year as a media entity in Rhode Island.
GolfNewsRI covers everything from high school golf to amateur golf and pro golf, and everything in between.
Over the years, GNRI has reported extensively on the Metacomet situation, the Triggs bid and interviewed the top players in the game.

GolfNewsRI has provided some of the best coverage in the state for high school golf, the Northeast Amateur, the Rhode Island Amateur and more.
In 2022, GolfNewsRI was awarded media credentials to the U.S. Open at The Country Club in Brookline, and have been awarded for the 2024 U.S. Senior Open at Newport Country Club.
