NK’s Will Owens Advances to Jr. PGA Championship Sectional Qualifier
North Kingstown golf star Will Owens has advanced to the Jr. PGA Championship sectional qualifier.
Owens carded a one-over 71 at North Kingstown Golf Course on Saturday to finish second overall and advance to the sectional qualifier.
“Conditions were pretty tough with high winds and a little rain, but I just tried to battle and keep it in play,” Owens told GolfNewsRI.
Maine’s Jacob Moody took medalist honors with a one-under par 69.
The sectional qualifier will take place on July 1 & 2 at Shaker Hills.
In the meantime, Owens will look to help his North Kingstown Skippers win a State High School title.
