Cavanagh in 50th After Round 1 of Annika Womens Pro Golf Tour Event
Two time RI Women’s Amateur Champion Susie Cavanagh is playing this week on the Annika Women’s Pro Golf Tour down in Louisiana.
Through round one of the U.S. Restoration Northshore Championship, Cavanagh is tied for 50th at eight over-par.
Maria Balcazar leads the tournament at two-under.
The top two finishers this week earn an exemption onto the Epson Tour (women’s version of the Korn Ferry Tour basically).
Cavanagh joined the GolfNewsRI Podcast near the end of last year.
Cavanagh’s Round
Starting on the back side, Cavanagh bogeyed two of the first three holes to move to two over.
She made another bogey on the 14th hole, and another on the 16th hole to move to four-over for the round.
Cavanagh birdied the 17th hole to turn at three-over.
Turning to the front side, Cavanagh bogeyed the second hole and then made a triple-bogey seven on the third hole.
