FabNewport Launches First Tee Rhode Island

FabNewport has announced the launch of First Tee Rhode Island Chapter, as well as, the creation of the Youth Learning & Stem Center. 

The center will open with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, March 1 at A1 Roofing and Construction Headquarters in Middletown. 

“First Tee aligns with FabNewport’s mission. The more opportunities and resources we can connect our kids to and the more people they can meet, the more likely they are to thrive,” said First Tee Director of Programming Orlando Peace.

Peace started working with FabNewport in 2021 and is credited with bringing a First Tee Chapter to Rhode Island. 

“Orlando’s three-year success with FabGolf set up the foundation for FabNewport to be awarded Rhode Island’s First Tee Chapter,” said Steve Heath, FabNewport’s Executive Director.

First Tee – Rhode Island programming will offer golf skills training at the First Tee Learning and STEM Center featuring two golf simulators beginning March 15. 

Outdoor programming including Family Days will take place at Green Valley beginning April 15 and will serve Aquidneck Island youth of all ages and abilities.
