Francoeur Misses Cut at PGA Tour Monday Qualifier
Former University of Rhode Island star Chris Francoeur missed the cut at the Monday Qualifier for the PGA Tour’s Cognizant Classic.
Francoeur carded a one-over 73 at The Tesoro Club in Florida to miss the cut by six shots.
The cut is five-under with some players still on the course.
Francoeur’s Round
Starting on the back nine, Francoeur parred the first six holes of the round before making a birdie on the 16th hole to get to one-under.
He would par the 17th and 18th to turn at one-under.
Turning to the front side, Francoeur saved par on the first and second holes but made a costly double-bogey on the third hole.
Francoeur followed that up with a bogey on the fifth hole and closed with a birdie on the eighth to finish one-over for the day.
