Tyler Cooke Finishes 39th at Gasparilla Invitational
Rhode Island’s Tyler Cooke finished in a tie for 39th at the Gasparilla Invitational this week down in Florida.
Cooke carded rounds of 76, 70 and 74 to finish ten-over for the tournament and in the middle of the pack.

The Wannamoisett member was the only Rhode Islander (of 3) to make the cut in the tournament.
The tournament was won by Charles Fitzsimmons on the second hole of a three-way playoff.
Cooke’s Final Round
Cooke opened the final round with a birdie on the first hole, but doubled two of the next three to go backwards.
After a string of pars, Cooke closed the front nine with a bogey on the ninth to turn at 39.
On the back side, Cooke birdied the tenth hole, before giving it right back with a bogey at the 11th.
Cooke made another bogey on the 15th before closing strong with a birdie on the par-5 18th hole to shoot a final round 74.
A total of 66 players made the cut, Cooke finished 39th.
