Tyler Cooke Makes Cut at Gasparilla Invitational
Tyler Cooke is the only Rhode Islander to make the cut this week at the Gasparilla Invitational down in Florida.
Through two rounds, Cooke is six-over for the tournament and in a tie for 30th overall after posting rounds of 76 and 70.

The cut was nine-over par.
Bobby Leopold and Larry Lafauci missed the cut at 14 and 22-over par respectively.
Derek Busby leads the tournament at one-under par.
Cooke’s 2nd Round
Needing a good round to make the cut, Cooke opened with a bogey on the first hole, but followed it up with a birdie on the second hole.
Cooke then birdied the fifth hole to get under par, however, a bogey on the seventh brought him back to even for the day.
That’s what he would make the turn at.
On the back side, Cooke made birdie on the 11th hole, before saving par on the next five holes.
Cooke would bogey 17 to shoot 70.
