Inside Links Launches Operation 36 Golf Academy
Inside Links in Cumberland has announced the launch of its Operation 36 Golf Academy.
Operation 36 is a “global development golf program” that is offered in more than 700 facilities across the country and led by thousands of golf coaches.
“We are thrilled to introduce the Operation 36 Program to the northern Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts communities. This program adds to our mission of providing a friendly place to practice, play, and enjoy golf. Now, we can add learning golf to the equation, so you can truly come Inside and find your game,” said owner Mario Lemme.
The primary goal of Operation 36 iis to create 1 million new golfers and progress them from their first 9-hole round through scoring even par (36) from a regular tee box.
Using the innovative Operation 36 On-course model with indoor golf simulators, players start on shortened courses and progress sequentially through increasingly longer tee boxes by challenging them to score par (36) in a nine hole tournament-style event at each level.
Between events, students attend weekly group class sessions focused on a specific skill within the Operation 36 curriculum.
All progress is documented and tracked on the Op 36 Mobile App.
Inside Links currently has two classes scheduled, one for juniors (ages 9-12) starting in late February and one for adult women starting in early March.
Both classes are for new-to-golf/beginner golfers.
