Chatfield Finishes 11th at KFT’s Great Abaco Classic
Former Rhode Island Amateur champion Davis Chatfield finished in a tie for 11th on Wednesday at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Great Abaco Classic at The Abaco Club in the Bahamas.
Chatfield fired a final round 73 to finish at four-under for the tournament and in 11th with two other players.
He is projected to move to 22nd on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List – the top 30 at the end of the season make the PGA Tour.
Aldrich Potgieter won the tournament at ten-under par.
Chatfield’s Final Round
Starting the day three shots off the lead, Chatfield opened the final round with back-to-back birdies on the first two holes to get to two under on the day.
Combined with a Kyle Westmoreland bogey, Chatfield found himself in a tie for the lead after four holes.
However, Chatfield’s round was derailed with a bogey on the par-3 sixth hole and then a double on the ninth hole to turn at 37 (1-over).
On the back side, the former Notre Dame star bogeyed the 14th hole and got it back with a birdie on the 16th to shoot a final round 73.
