Late Birdies Help Chatfield Make Cut at Korn Ferry Tour Season Opener
Former Rhode Island Amateur champion Davis Chatfield dropped birdies on the 14th and 15th holes to make the cut by one shot at the Korn Ferry Tour’s season opener on Monday in the Bahamas.
Chatfield is two-under for the tournament after two rounds and the cut was one-under.

He has posted back-to-back rounds of 71 (1-under) to play the weekend.
Meanwhile, former Classical star Patrick Welch missed the cut following rounds of 73 and 74.
The lead is held by Chandler Blanchet at 12-under.
Chatfield’s 2nd Round
Needing a good round to make the cut, Chatfield opened with a birdie on the par-5 first hole to get to one-under.
However, he then bogeyed three of the next five holes to drop to two-over on the round and outside the cut line.
The former Notre Dame star birdied eight to turn at one-over, but still needed something on the back nine to make the cut.
After parring the first four holes on the back side, Chatfield made back-to-back birdies on 14 and 15 to get to one-under par for the day and two-under for the tournament.
He would par out to make the cut.
