Former Masters Champion and current LIV Golf star Patrick Reed lost his lawsuits against media outlets and members on Friday. 

Reed filed at $750 million lawsuit claiming defamation against Gannett, Golfweek, the Associated Press, and media members Doug Ferguson, Brandel Chamblee, Eamon Lynch, Damon Hack and Shane Ryan. 

On Friday, U.S. District Judge Tim Corrigan ordered Reed to pay attorney fees and costs to the defendants. 

“Many of the statements are not about Reed. Some statements are about LIV Golf, of which Reed is a member, but not specifically about Reed. Others are matters of opinion or permissible rhetorical hyperbole. Still others are statements of fact, the truth of which are not challenged,” Corrigan wrote in his September dismissal. 

That was the second time that the lawsuit was dismissed. 

Reed refiled the lawsuit in Jacksonville after the first dismissal in Houston. 

Reed now has until February 23 to respond.
