This past year was certainly exciting, and 2024 is shaping up to be just as good if not better.
Between pro golf returning to the area, the opening of a new/old golf course in East Providence and Rhode Islanders doing big things on the course, there is a lot to be excited about.

10. Indoor Golf – As GolfNewsRI reported, indoor golf exploded in 2023 and with technology only getting better, what are the possibilities in 2024.

8. La Salle to Rutgers – Max Jackson is among the best golfers to come out of the state in some time. In 2024, we will watch him close out his junior career and begin his collegiate career at Rutgers.
7. Locals in U.S. Four-Ball – Kirkbrae’s Mike Hamilton and Tom McCormick will be playing in the U.S. Four-Ball Championship in May at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. Looking forward to seeing how they stack up.
6. RWU in NCAA Tourney – Ryan Dacey, Ed Kirby and the RWU Hawks will play in the NCAA Tournament next spring after winning their conference championship this fall. Pretty awesome. Can Bryant or URI join them?
5. RI Amateur at Warwick – The Rhode Island Amateur is headed to beautiful Warwick Country Club in 2024. The intensity of the Amateur paired with the views and the 9th hole will make for tremendous theatre.

2. The LPGA Tour at TPC Boston – It’s not Rhode Island, but it is right down the street, for all intents and purposes. From August 29-September 1, TPC Boston will host the LPGA Tour’s FM Global Championship. It will be the first LPGA Tour event in New England since 2006.
1. The U.S. Senior Open at Newport – The 2024 U.S. Senior Open is coming to historic Newport Country Club. It is the first time since 2006 that a professional major championship of any kind has come to the state. Brett Quigley is already in the field, while Billy Andrade and Brad Adamonis have work to do.
